Wallace Reef Beach Access

Nelscott Neighborhood, Lincoln City, Oregon

The project involved the design of new facilities for an existing unimproved beach access for the historic Nelscott Neighborhood in Lincoln City. Work included extensive citizen and neighborhood involvement through the programming and design process. The project scope included new pedestrian plaza areas and walkways, restroom and surfer showers, organized and expanded vehicle parking, an observation platform, new lighted hillside stairway, and sustainable design. The resultant design reflects the rich heritage of Oregon’s scenic coastal waysides and highways.
